Certain USCIS Offices Remain Closed Due to Storm Damage

Few USCIS offices will remain closed due to storm damage and the appointments will be rescheduled by the USCIS. You need not file a petition requesting the USCIS to reschedule your appointment and the USCIS will fix an appointment and inform you about your new appointment date.

You will have to wait until you receive notification about your rescheduled appointment, if you were scheduled to appear at an ASC between 29th October and 7th November. If you are required to appear at an application support center, that will remain closed, you need to refer to the USCIS website to get to know whether the particular ASC is closed or open. You need to check the website for updates and to obtain information about your new appointment.

You can get in touch with the National Customer Service Center, by dialing 1-800-375-5283, for assistance, if you need to visit a USCIS office that is located in an area that is affected by Sandy. By contacting the NCSC, you will be able to obtain information about the USCIS offices and you will also be provided information about rescheduling your appointment, if the USCIS office is closed.
