Refugee and asylum seekers who are admitted to the US often worry about their families at home. In many cases, these families face the same difficult conditions and hazards which has made the applicant seek asylum or refugee status. US law allows refugees and asylees to help family members enter the US as well. If you have been admitted to the US as an asylee or refugee within the past two years you can seek benefits for your minor unmarried children (younger than 21 years) and your spouse. You can do so by filing USCIS Form I-730 (Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition).
