Who Qualifies for EB-5 Investor Visas?

The B-1 Business Visa is a non-immigrant visa to the U.S., used for short-period business visits. An applicant for the business visa must have a specific legitimate business purpose, must plan to remain in U.S. for a limited period, must have funds to cover the expenses of the trip and stay, and must have a permanent residence outside the U.S.

Steps to Get a Business Visa for the U.S.

1. The applicant pays the visa application fee, and completes and submits the visa application, Form DS-160, Visa Electronic Application.

2. The applicant schedules a visa interview at the U.S. consulate or embassy in his home country.

The applicant will need to the following information to schedule an appointment:

  • Date of payment of fee
  • The ten (10) digit barcode number from the DS-160 confirmation page

3. The applicant then schedules and attends a biometrics (fingerprinting and digital photograph) appointment for the visa process.

4. The applicant visits the U.S. embassy or consulate on the date and time of the visa interview, carrying the following documents:

  • A printed copy of the appointment letter
  • The DS-160 confirmation page
  • One photograph taken within the last six months
  • Current and all old passports
  • The original visa fee payment receipt

5. The applicant receives a visa in their passport and may travel to the U.S.
