How long does it take to renew a Green Card?

How much does it cost to renew a Green Card?
The USCIS filing fees to renew a green card are $540. This includes an application fee of $455 and a biometrics fee of $85 as required by the USCIS. When should I renew my Green Card?
Permanent residents with 10-year Green Cards are required to carry a valid, unexpired Green Card with them at all times. It is wise to apply to renew your Green Card within six months of the expiration date. You can find your Green Card expiration date on the front of your card. If your Green Card is already expired, this doesn’t mean your status has expired along with it, but you should apply to renew your Green Card as soon as possible. If your card expires while you are traveling outside the U.S., you will need to follow special instructions provided by the USCIS.
